Distribution system that provides water throughout the Gadsden city limits.

The Gadsden Water Works & Sewer Board operates a Public Water System that is licensed by ADEM/EPA, PWSID #0000577. This system consists of a 24 Million Gallon per Day (MGD) surface water treatment plant (Grade IV) and a distribution system that provides water throughout the Gadsden city limits. In addition, the GWWSB supplies water to 9 other local water systems.

As required by the Federal & State regulations, GWWSB continuously monitors the finished water to verify that all water quality requirements for drinking water (commonly called Potable Water) are met. Annually a summary of this monitoring is published in the Consumer Confidence Report (CCR). The individual analytical data is available from the technical staff of the GWWSB.
